YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP CARRYING THIS

The job. The apartment. The fresh start.

Most people don’t realize what a sealed record actually unlocks until they have one. The background check that used to come back flagged — now comes back clean. The rental application that used to get quietly declined — now gets approved. The job you were perfectly qualified for, but didn’t get — now opens up.

Nevada law gives you a legal path to seal eligible records. Once your record is sealed, you’re no longer required to disclose the conviction on most employment or rental applications. For all practical, everyday purposes, that chapter is closed.

We make the process simple and affordable — with a payment plan most people can actually manage.

CAN I SEAL MY RECORD?

Record sealing in Nevada — the rules, in plain English.

Eligibility depends on the offense and how long it’s been. Here are the four main paths — and the one category of offenses that can’t be sealed.

Most common path

Sealing your misdemeanors

The waiting period depends on the type of misdemeanor.

01

1

year — traffic violations & other misdemeanors

2

years — gross misdemeanors, battery, harassment, stalking, or violating a protective order

7

years — non-felony DUI or battery domestic violence

DUI

Sealing your DUI

Non-felony DUI can be sealed in Nevada after a waiting period.

02

7

years from the date of conviction

Felony DUI cannot be sealed in Nevada.

Best-case scenario · Dismissals

Acquittals & dismissals

If you were acquitted or your charges were dismissed, there’s no waiting period at all.

03

0

days — we can seal the arrest record right away

If the case never resulted in a conviction, you shouldn’t have to live with it on your record.

Declined cases

"Decline to prosecute"

If the city or district attorney declined to prosecute your case, the timing depends on the specifics:

04

When the statute of limitations has run,

Eight years after the arrest, or

By agreement with the city or district attorney.

⚠️ Offenses that cannot be sealed in Nevada

Crimes against children

Felony DUI

Sexual offenses

Home invasion with a deadly weapon

REAL QUESTIONS · HONEST ANSWERS

Record sealing FAQ.

How much does it really cost?

$199 a month for 7 months — that’s $1,393 total. It’s the entire price for our work. Court filing fees are included. So is the fee to pull your certified criminal record from the State. There are two small separate fees you’ll pay outside of our fees and the court costs: the cost to obtain your fingerprints ($10–25) and your SCOPE arrest record.

Eligibility to seal your record depends on two things: what the offense was, and how long ago it happened. The four paths above cover most situations — and Nevada says “absolutely not!” for crimes against children, felony DUI, sexual offenses, or home invasion with a deadly weapon. If you’re unsure or just do not know, don’t guess. The free consult exists exactly for this reason — we’ll tell you straight at no cost to you!

From start to finish, it takes about 8 months. We’ll give you a real timeline at your consultation, not a “depends” answer, and we’ll keep you updated with regular e-mails as we have progress on your case.

This is the best part: once it’s sealed, you’re no longer required to disclose the conviction on most job and rental applications. Background checks for most purposes come back clean. For day-to-day life — getting hired, getting an apartment, moving on — it’s like your old criminal history isn’t there. (There are some exceptions for certain government and law enforcement purposes, and we’ll walk through exactly what’s covered with you so there are no surprises later.)

Yes — we are required to seal your entire record. This is why we obtain your criminal history record from the State and your SCOPE arrest report.

Talk to us anyway. The whole reason we built the payment plan was for people who couldn’t afford all the fees at once — the monthly version is meant to make a fresh start possible, not aspirational. The consult is free either way, and we’ll be straight with you about what makes sense for your situation. No pressure if the timing isn’t right.

Stop carrying it. Start the rest of your life.

Your free 15-minute consult is just that — free. We’ll tell you honestly whether you qualify, and if you do, you can start the process the same day.
